1. Core Refund Principles
UjjainTravel acts as a facilitator for various services. Our refund policies are determined by our own management in coordination with our local vendors, heritage partners, and administrative protocols of Ujjain shrines.
Total Transparency
We display the exact refund percentage based on your time of cancellation. No hidden processing fees beyond the stated logic.
Fair Adjudication
In cases of technical failures or force majeure, our management reviews each request manually to ensure fairness.
2. Tour Packages & Itineraries
For multi-day tour packages involving guides, vehicles, and multiple site visits:
Low Impact Cancellation
90% Refund of the total package value.
Standard Cancellation
50% Refund of the total package value.
Strict Window
0% Refund (Package prepayments to vendors are already committed).
3. Personalized Pujas & Rituals
"Ritual slots are limited and involve preparation by Pandits days in advance."
- Pujas (General): Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the ritual time are strictly non-refundable as Samagri (ritual items) are purchased and Pandits are booked.
- Bhasma Aarti Assistance: This is a service fee for coordination. Once an application is filed with the temple portal, the fee is non-refundable regardless of the result.
- Mangalnath Puja: Due to heavy rush, these are non-refundable within 48 hours of booking time.
4. Hotel Accommodation & Guest Houses
UjjainTravel follows the hotel's individual policy. If the hotel is "Non-Refundable," we cannot override their stance. Generally:
Standard Hotel Policy (unless specified otherwise):
- • Cancel 72 hours before check-in: 1 Night charge as penalty.
- • Cancel within 72 hours: 100% of the total booking cost as penalty.
5. Transport & Taxi Reservations
Advance Booking
Cancel 24+ hours before pick-up: Fully refundable (minus a small transaction fee of ₹200).
Short Notice
Cancel within 24 hours: 50% penalty to compensate the driver for lost daily wages.
6. No-Show Policy
6.1 Zero Tolerance for No-Shows
Failure to arrive at the specified meeting point (temple gate, hotel lobby, or pickup point) within 30 minutes of the scheduled time will be treated as a "No-Show."
- No refund will be provided for No-Shows.
- No credit for future bookings.
- The service will be considered completed.
7. Force Majeure & Administrative Closures
If a ritual or tour is cancelled because of circumstances beyond human control:
Govt Closures
If temples are closed by the administration for security or VIP movements, we offer a 100% credit for a future visit or a 80% monetary refund.
Health Mandates
Pandemic-related restrictions follow state guidelines. We prioritize rescheduling without penalty.
8. How to Request a Refund
Email Initiation
Send an email to [email protected] with your Booking ID and reason for cancellation.
Audit Check
Our finance team will verify the "Cancellation Window" according to our system logs.
Authorization
Upon approval, you will receive a Refund Order ID via email.
9. Bank Processing Timelines
Once we initiate the refund, the banking system takes its course:
- Net Banking: 5-7 Working Days
- Credit/Debit Card: 7-10 Working Days
- UPI/VPA: 2-3 Working Days
